How we protect our patients during the COVID 19 pandemic.

We screen all our patients for COVID 19 over the phone. We require and appreciate your honesty. We will require you to postpone your treatment if:

  • You’ve been diagnosed with Covid 19 and do not have a clearance certificate from your GP
  • If you or your close contacts have returned from overseas or cruise ships within the last 14 days
  • If you or your close contacts are awaiting test results for COVID 19
  • If you or your close contacts have been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID 19
  • If you have any of the following symptoms but not limited to fever, sore throat, shortness of breath or other flu symptoms

If you are unsure please contact us on (03)9512 3442 to clarify and advise

We will continue to

  • Decontaminate the room after each and every patient with appropriate hospital-grade Alcohol cleaning products
  • Modify procedural methods to minimise aerosol generation
  • Ensure we practice good oral hygiene with appropriate PPE

Additionally, we have now modified the way we work by

  • Allowing patients to wait in their car and calling patients into the clinic when we are ready, to ensure that there is minimal exposure to others and minimise waiting times in the waiting room
  • Spacing appointments between patients
  • Checking patient temperatures and providing preprocedural mouthrinses
  • Allowing extra time to decontaminate the Hicaps machine, door handles, surfaces and pens after each and every patient with hospital grade alcohol cleaners
  • Provision of antibacterial handwash at the beginning and end of each appointment for all of our patients
  • Ensuring our staff are also subjected to the same screening protocols that our patients are subjected to
